There is a New Book About Screech Entitled "The Price of Pansies"

There is a new book about Screech entitled "The Price of Pansies."  It is about his life after being fired from his unpaid job as Mr. Belding's assistant on Saved By The Bell: The New Class.  This book tells stories about Screech's early years as a male prostitute.

A New "Choose Your Own Adventure" Book About Screech and Corky!

In the mid 1980s, there was a popular line of children's paperback books entitled "Choose Your Own Adventure." In each book, the reader was presented with at least two choices every few pages and based on the reader's choice selection, the reader was instructed to turn to a particular page to continue the story so that the reader had a feeling like he or she was choosing the outcome of the story.

In an apparently effort to revive his floundering career, Screech is appearing in a series of "Choose Your Own Adventure" books with Corky from Life Goes On!  I'm sure these books will be quite popular, particularly within the gay community. Based on a particular choice selection, will Screech end up with Corky's diaper being rubbed on his face or will he be slapped around by Corky??? The result will be based on the reader's choices!!!

Diamond Admits That the Screech and Mr. Belding Characters Were Gay!!!

Dustin Diamond's "Behind the Bell" autobiography/expose on his Saved By The Bell experiences hit store shelves in September 2009 and has been universally panned. I have not yet read the book myself, although I did read a recent review of the book in the Onion's AV Club. According to the Onion AV Club article, Diamond admits that his character Screech had a gay relationship with Mr. Belding, as Diamond's queer fans have suspected for years!

The article recites:

Diamond writes about how he suspected that the writers of The New Class deliberately tried to undermine him and co-star Mr. Belding (he has a name, yes, but neither you nor I should ever invoke it) by making their relationship not so much homoerotic as explicitly homosexual. According to Diamond, they’d write stage directions where Screech and Mr. Belding gaze into each other’s eyes and soulfully embrace. If Diamond is being truthful—I assume everything he says is at the very least a big exaggeration—then that is officially the most awesome shit ever. I discovered this book while searching for queer Dustin Diamond-related spank material. Based on the cover artwork, it appears as though Diamond is anally violated in a forest by a tag-team of homosexuals. It sounds hot!

Book About Rod Belding's Adventures?

I discovered that there is a homosexual-themed book about a character named "Rod" who has gay sex with random homeless men/winos. The name of the book is "Skid Row Sweetie." I wonder whether this book was the inspiration for the Rod Belding character on Saved By The Bell... Rod Belding must have hooked up with some bums when Screech was in the hospital recovering from various attacks!
